Big Bird Was Born to Tweet! #EmployBigBird

During the Oct 3, 2012 presidential debate, Republican nominee Mitt Romney spoke about budget cuts he would make if elected: “I’m gonna stop the subsidy to PBS. I’m gonna stop other things.” He clarified, “I like PBS, I like Big Bird…” but his intention to cut funding was clear.

Yesterday, we heard from an 8’2″ affable, yellow bird, who just realized he may not have a job come January. This job seeker has a varied background including Linguist and Mathematics Coach, Skating Carhop, Singer, Dancer, Actor and, most recently, Social Media Maven.

With over 3 million job listings on the Internet, Big Bird wasn’t sure what kind of jobs to apply for, or where he should even start. Today’s job search is mired in inefficiency. People (/birds) submit resumes and apply to hundreds of jobs in just a few clicks. Employers receive hundreds of applications, and job seekers get lost in the shuffle.
